Biography

J.R. Farley is a native of Fairmont, West Virginia, currently residing in Florida. He is an active Conductor, Arranger, and Performer throughout the United States. His musical education began at the age of six as a piano student. He later studied voice, euphonium, percussion, and conducting, and furthered his musical education at both Alderson-Broaddus College and Fairmont State University.

Mr. Farley is a highly commissioned arranger for many high school, college, and professional groups. His work can also be heard on numerous recordings and stages throughout the United States and Canada.

Leading his own bands for many years and music directing for numerous projects, Mr. Farley received the honor of guest conducting with The Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra, and, The Disney World Band and Orchestra.

In his travels and career Mr. Farley has had the opportunity to perform and work with such artists and groups as Frankie Vallie, Johnny Belmont and The Skyliners, Johnny Tillotson, Shades of Blue, Gianni Russo, Vito Picone and The Elegants, The Doo-Wop All Stars, Johnny Maestro, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and many more.

J.R. Farley is thoroughly pleased to now be the music director, arranger, and producer for Rudy Amato and the Vegas Experience.
